Thank you

...for all your support last weekend at our Fun Day and Walking Day. The Fun Day raised a fantastic amount of £1,600 and our grateful thanks must go to everyone who helped in any way to make the day such a success.

We are always looking at ways to improve and if anyone has any suggestions or comments, we would love to hear from you. Either call into the school office or drop us a quick line.

Goodbye…
At the end of this term, we will be saying Goodbye to Miss Willison, who has worked at school for over 10 years as a Teaching Assistant, Clerical Assistant and as our Before & After School Club Co-ordinator. Miss Willison is moving on to Wigan & Leigh College to work in their Creche and we wish her every success for the future.

KS2 Communion
Tomorrow, Friday 18th June, there will be a KS2 Communion Service held in school – parents/carers are very welcome to attend, please make your way to the main entrance for 2.50 pm.

Parentmail
Our Parentmail account is now up and running and hopefully those parents/carers who have now signed up received their newsletter successfully last week. If anyone experiences any problems with this, please contact Mrs. Jones in the school office. Alternatively, if you have still not registered for Parentmail, please see the office staff for a registration form. We are aiming for 100% of parents/carers to be registered by the end of this term and will start sending text messages to your mobiles shortly, so don’t miss out – register now!

Artsweek
Next week, 21st-25th June, we will be holding our Artsweek. We have invited local artists, Oliver Wotherspoon, Mandy Beck-McKim and Brian Rollins, to come into school and work in classes creating exciting pieces of artwork. We will also be learning amazing dances and looking at how flowers are used in art at the Flower Festival in St. Peter’s Church on the Friday afternoon. All children will be taking part in a range of activities across the week which we hope will enthuse and excite them.
Please remember school will be open from 9.00 am-10.00 am on Friday 25th June for parents/carers to walk around school and enjoy the finished work.
We are sure it will be a wonderful week and are grateful for all your support.

Summer Trips ....

Many classes will be going on summer trips this term. Please ensure you complete the necessary documentation and return any forms back to school by the deadline dates. We are sure we can count on your support in helping the organisation of our trips to run smoothly.

Scholastic Books
The summer catalogue has been circulated. If you would like to place an order, please complete the form and return it to school with the correct payment by Friday 18th June.

Theatre Trip
On Wednesday 30th June we are arranging a whole school Theatre Trip to see the matinee performance of George’s Marvellous Medicine.
The notification of visit form has been circulated this week to all parents and carers.
We think this is a wonderful opportunity for our children and are subsidising the cost heavily from school, but would really appreciate your support in returning the necessary documentation and requested contributions by the deadline date. Thank you.
