The Governors expect all children to wear school uniform. This consists of light blue or white shirt or blouse, navy sweater or cardigan, grey trousers or skirt, with an option of blue gingham summer dress. Sweatshirts, cardigans, polo shirts, PE kits, baseball caps, ski hats, fleeces and showerproof jackets all printed with the school logo are available at certain times of the year from school. Shoes with a sensible heel should be worn,. No trainers please. The children in Year 6 are allowed to choose a different colour for their sweatshirts and cardigans each year to reflect their position of responsibility within the school. The Governors believe that the simplicity of the uniform allows the main items to be obtained readily at a reasonable cost.
For safety reasons jewellery is not allowed and only one pair of stud earrings are permitted. (These must be removed by the child during PE lessons and after school sports.)
Children are discouraged from bringing mobile phones or music players (ipods, MP3's etc) to school. However, if parents insist on this, they must be handed in to the school office at the start of the day and collected from there at home time. Please make sure that items are labelled with your child's name.
