Sex education is taught within the general area of P.S.H.E., Parents/carers are consulted before any specific programme of sex education is implemented. A sex education programme is followed which has been approved by Governors and parents/carers, in consultation with the Diocese and following Authority guidelines. It is taught within the context of a Christian ethos. Health visitors are also involved in teaching. All children in Year 6 are taught about the changes which will take place at puberty. Parents are invited to preview these lessons in the Summer Term.
