As a Church School, our distinctive nature is evident across all subject approaches. For the specific teaching of Religious Education, this is provided within the timetable according to the Liverpool Diocesan syllabus. Having chosen a faith school, we hope to work together with parents/carers to encourage their children's learning development of our Christian religion, as well as other world religions, and to establish the joy of regular worship as part of our Church Community. Our Vicar, Stephen, is a weekly visitor to our school, as well as Clergy members from other parishes.
As a Church of England School, we hope that parents/carers who have chosen this school will be fully supportive of the Worship and Religious Education that is carried out in school. However, we believe that the special nature of our Christian ethos is evident in all we do. Therefore, although parents/carers are legally entitled to withdraw their childrn from Worship and Religious Educaiton, we would not expect that this would be the case. Should parents/carers wish to discuss this further, please make an appointmnent to see the Headteacher prior to application.
